What is Thai Massage?
The origins of Thai massage came from India and China about 5,000 years ago. After coming to Thailand, it has evolved into a system that is entirely unique and is widely regarded as one of the best systems of therapeutic massage.
Thai massage is performed on a futon mat on the floor, no oils are used and loose fitted clothes are advised. La will gently move your body to stretch and compress your muscles, mobilize your joints, and use pressure to relieve areas of tension and pain. Thai massage is an integrated, sequenced procedure that is designed to take 1 ½ hours to complete.
Thai massage reduces stress, improves circulation for health, increases flexibility, improves range of motion, and is deeply relaxing, energizing, and therapeutic.
After a Thai massage it is advised that you should drink plenty of water to help with the detoxification. You may feel some soreness or discomfort, especially in areas where you have had problems. After that you should feel relaxed.
